Double Degree

Double Degree between Management Engineering (Unibg) and Technology and Engineering Management (UPC)

The Double Master’s Degree program allows obtaining two Master’s Degree Certificates: one from the University of Bergamo and another from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The double degree is a symmetric agreement and students will have to pay fees and tuitions only at their home university.

The Double Master’s Degree program between the University of Bergamo and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya includes:

  • 1-year courses (60 ECTS) at University of Bergamo (Italy)
  • 1-year courses (60 ECTS) at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya·BarcelonaTech (Spain)
  • 0.5-year Master Thesis (30 ECTS) at any of the two universities.

Application to the Double Degree Program must be submitted during the first year of the Master's degree in Management Engineering, according to the deadlines for the Erasmus+ call (indicatively, between January and February, but always keep an eye on updates on deadlines on the website).

Applicants are selected for the Double Degree Program indicatively during the month of March. Successful candidates will leave for the foreign location at the beginning of the second year of the Master's Degree ONLY if they have acquired the 60 CFUs stipulated in the first-year curriculum.

Master’s Degree in Technology and Engineering Management (MEM)

The Master in Technology and Engineering Management (MEM) is a challenging 1.5-year (90 ECTS) professional and academic degree program offered in English by the School of Industrial, Aerospace and Audiovisual Engineering of Terrassa (ESEIAAT) at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya·BarcelonaTech. This 100-year old engineering school combines valued tradition with entrepreneurial spirit in an innovative environment.

The Master is addressed to students seeking to complement an in-depth knowledge in engineering with the ability to take strategic decisions and tackle organizational issues. The Master aims to develop the students’ entrepreneurial and managerial skills and to provide them with the ability to plan and manage complex systems.

    The master thesis will be supervised by two professors: one from each university. The students will defend their master thesis at both Universities.
